Well, it seems one of the perks of living in a communist country is that you never know when the government is going to call upon you to celebrate it – thereby giving me a day off! Not only do we have Sports Day this Friday…ah how I loved the Sports Days of my elementary school years…competition with all the fun and none of the faults…anyhow…Not only do we have Sports Day this week, but it seems our students have been called upon to march in the commemoration of 15 years of TEDA – the very new suburb of Tianjin in which I currently live and teach.
The board of education wants to show off all of its students and will do so with a display tomorrow morning – which needs marching practice for the rest of the day! Giving me more time to plan the week and month ahead and to write this post;-)
